About Me

Welcome!

I am a registered yoga teacher, working artist, and a mother of two.

I was born and raised in Rockford and have been practicing yoga [consistently] for the past three years. I was always one to come up with an excuse for not doing yoga: it isn’t my thing, I prefer running, I’m not flexible, etc… When I began practicing regularly and saw a real change in the way I felt physically, mentally, and emotionally, I was hooked. Last year, I decided to take it a step further and completed a 200-hour teacher training program and I’ve been fortunate to have the opportunity to teach classes at 815Yoga as well as art + yoga workshops at 317 Art Collective.

In addition to my 200-hour training, I have completed a certification as an Ayurveda Specialist and a restorative yoga immersion program.

I am passionate about teaching from a holistic perspective, incorporating the elements, esoteric body, pranayama, and meditation.

I also love teaching kids! My almost five-year-old and I play yoga games at home and I love seeing how focusing on breathing and body awareness can make a difference in how children move throughout life. It has such a positive impact on emotional well-being, conflict resolution, stress, posture, and so many more things. I hope to bring many more kids yoga classes and workshops to the Rockford area!

If you have any questions, please always feel free to send me an e-mail. I look forward to practicing with you and/or your little ones.

Namaste,

Rhiannon
